Tip Tuesday – Embellished Accessories

Hello fans! As the holiday season is coming along, we find all sorts of embellishments starting to claim their presence in street styles. Today we are going to share fashion finds on some stunning details and introduce guides to our embellished accessories. With the ability to carry the look from day to night, these make the perfect investments.

The styling strategy here would be to keep your clothing simple, makeup subtle, and let your accessories do the talking. Like the example below, we are implementing the basic stripe top, white skirt and a wool cape as the ‘canvas’ for the gold floral embellished sunglasses and our Becca clutch. Putting on a pair of leather gloves, you will be ready to go to work. At  night, you can simply add a splash of hot pink to your lips for that extra accent.

If you are looking for more glamour, we would suggest adding some sparkle to one part of your outfit which should go along with the accessories. Below we matched a black skirt with gem embellishments with our Ursula clutch, Hellenic stretch bracelet and black faux suede pumps. At the end, a well-crafted fur coat will help you tie everything together to finish this lavish statement.

Tip Tuesday: Runway Recreation

New York Fashion Week was full of amazing, fresh looks. Le Chic has chosen three strong looks from the runway and translated them to your way! Start prepping your closet for these bold new pieces!

The first look we call Feminine Frill. Printed pants can be tricky but you have different options to best suit your comfort: leggings, jeans, or dress pants. Offset the print with a solid top and throw on a colored fur vest for your evening out. This is a great look when the weather is in-between, making this perfect for spring or fall. Colored sunglasses, like our Blumarine Purple Crystal Sunglasses, help make the print of the pants pop!

The second look we’ve chosen is Glam Rock. This look is more edgy and we love the mix of metallics and animal print! An animal print pant can be a bit hard to pull off, so we’ve opted for shorts in our look. We paired the shorts with a black blouse and gold metallic blazer to give just the right amount of glam. Our Jasper heels are the perfect fit for this look with their gold detail!

Plaid Chic is another look we wanted to illustrate. This look not only works for plaid but also hounds tooth, which is another popular trend on the runway for Fall/Winter 2013. We love how this look could be interpreted in so many different ways. Whether you’re classic, bohemian, girly, or a rocker, this is a great go-to look for fall! Accessories will be your best friend when styling this look. Berets were everywhere on the runway for fall, but you can opt for a fedora or headband as well. Instead of heels, add boots for a grungy look or flats for a contemporary feel. Le Chic’s Golden Bow ring fits any way you decide to style these pieces.

Tip Tuesday

Ever wish that you could just leave your home wearing your slippers to avoid getting blisters on your feet that you can get from wearing heels? Well, we are proud to announce that this is now possible in the fall season! Slipper shoes have even been featured in this season’s Fall 2011 runways. Now you can turn attention away from your feet and onto other parts of your outfit such as fall’s favorite – trench coats. Corduroy, prints, velvet, patent leather, etc. are super popular and can still dress up your outfit without the pain you can get from wearing heels.

The nice thing about fall/winter seasons is that many women layer their clothing for extra warmth. You could wear your cute slipper shoes all day from work to a dinner date to even just meeting friends without having to go home and change clothes. Instead of having to bring your heels or a different pair of shoes to work to change into later, you can now keep your comfy slipper shoes on all day and night by just switching up some of your layers of clothing instead. Take a look at H&Ms variation of this technique and go get comfy now!
