Wordless Wednesday

A wardrobe staple for most women is the leather skirt. Just this year we have seen celebs like Angelina Jolie, Kim Kardashian and Nikki Reed rock this trend. There are so many ways to wear a skirt and it is a classic that can be worn no matter the season. With color blocking still a huge trend, try wearing a bright colored skirt. A great example of this was the outfit worn by Louise Roe, a fashion journalist, whose light peach leather skirt and bright yellow top were extenuated with an orange clutch. Kristen Stewart and Michelle Williams have also been sporting this look at big name events recently. Kristen looked edgy at the Met Gala in May while Michele wore this trend by wearing a buttoned oxblood leather skirt while making the rounds this award season.

Don’t think a statement skirt like the bright leather is the one for you? Another option is a pleated leather skirt. Blake Lively, Katherine McPhee and Jessica Alba have all been seen wearing these skirts. Blake Lively looks flawless (like always) in a gold pleated skirt with a white button-down. Katherine McPhee wore a classic black pleated skirt with a sleek and sleeveless white blouse. Jessica Alba wore black tights, a black flower print top and black blazer with her pleated black leather skirt.

Every young celeb has been seen wearing the classic leather pencil skirt in black and a variety of other colors. When looking for inspiration turn to Selena Gomez, Whitney Port, Kate Bosworth, Agynes Deyns and Kristen Cavallari.
